Leadership transition is a significant event in the life of any organization. Is executive search expensive?

Yes and no. It’s not free and it is a significant investment. On the other hand, a bad leadership hire can damage or even destroy your organization. We know that you need to be a good steward of your resources, so we structure our fees in a way that limits your financial risk. What’s more, our fee may already be covered by your budget! How long does it take to hire someone?

Time to hire can fluctuate widely and has many variables. CEO/President/Executive Director searches may incorporate a more robust process and, by design, take longer to fill. Other roles may be simpler or draw upon a more plentiful candidate pool, reducing the hiring cycle. In general, we find that most searches can be completed within 60-180 days.

We’ve been advertising for 3 months, but just can’t find anyone. Can you still help?

Absolutely! There are many factors that impact your search. It might be that your search can immediately improve with a small adjustment or two, or it may be that you need someone like us to do a deep dive for new candidates. Either way, give us a call and let’s talk through it.

We’re considering a nationally-known search firm, but it seems like some of their team may not share our faith and values. How will that impact the search?

There are a number of excellent search firms who serve the faith-based community. Some hold faith as a core tenet of their company and some do not. Different values yield different outcomes, and we’ve seen varying levels of success. If you prefer your next leader to have a deep and dynamic personal relationship with Christ, we highly recommend that you engage with search firms who share your faith — firms where every person experientially understands and embraces the core of your mission.
